APRIL 04, 2021 - Launch of Autobeged at Kornit Tel Aviv Fashion Week 2022
The Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality is proud to launch Autobeged (which translates to Clothing-car), an urban-community-environmental project for the collection and sale of second-hand pre-worn clothing, where sales will benefit people with disabilities. The car will be stationed outside of Hangar 11 in the Tel Aviv port, where the Fashion Week shows are taking place.
On the second day of the Kornit Tel Aviv Fashion Week 2022 - Monday, April 4, at 11:00 - the Autobeged will arrive at the event complex at Hangar 11 in the Tel Aviv port, where the Fashion Week shows are taking place, and will remain there to receive donations throughout the week.
The ceremony to be held in honor of the car placement will be moderated by the Mayor of Tel Aviv-Yafo Ron Huldai; CEO of Matash, Yaffa Moore; Director of the Environment and Sustainability Authority in the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality Eitan Ben Ami; and council member Motty Reif.
In addition, the ceremony is scheduled to be attended by key figures from the fashion world who will donate to the project from their private wardrobes.
The Autobeged is a green electric vehicle that has been converted to a second-hand mobile boutique in order to travel around the city's neighborhoods with the purpose of collecting pre-worn clothes and selling them at very competitive prices. The proceeds from all sales will be benefiting people with disabilities.
The Autobeged project is part of "Second Love", a second-hand clothes store operated by people with disabilities under the municipal corporation Matash. The store is located in the Rehabilitation Employment Center at 33 Zivia Lubetkin Street in Tel Aviv.
