APRIL 13, 2022 - Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality's project Women for Climate: an innovative pilot for shading in public spaces using solar energy

The Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality and LumiWeave have installed an innovative, flexible and lightweight system in Atidim Park (Tel Aviv) that provides shade during the day and illuminates during the night, based on solar energy only. The system has been set up for a trial period, during which the company and the municipality will monitor its performance while passers-are able to enjoy shade during the day and lighting during the evening and nighttime.

The Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality is proud to launch Autobeged (which translates to Clothing-car), an urban-community-environmental project for the collection and sale of second-hand pre-worn clothing, where sales will benefit people with disabilities. The car will be stationed outside of Hangar 11 in the Tel Aviv port, where the Fashion Week shows are taking place.

During the Second World War, my parents were here in Israel, while their world, the world they left behind in Europe was being destroyed. The 2022 Samsung Tel Aviv Marathon is back. Last year the runners had to run solo but this year we all run together! The leading sports event of the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality returns and will be the first Israeli marathon to be held under the official mark of the World Athletics Association, earning its place among the leading marathons of the world.

Registration, to any of the six different tracks, is open until February 19th
