TRANSPORTATION IN TEL AVIV

One of the best ways to experience Tel Aviv is by foot. The city is small in size, making it extremely walkable. However, there are many other ways to get around, including bus, bicycle, scooter, and taxi.  Mobility and road safety are two crucials elements in Tel Aviv and the Municipality is adapting its laws and regulation to fit the changing transportation scenery.

December 2019 marked the launch of a free transportation service functioning on Shabbat (Saturday) in the metropolitan area and January 2020 marked the begining of the enforcment of the new regulations for shared electric scooter companies operating in Tel Aviv.

Below you will find the most updated information and press releases on these topics. for additional information please email Margaux Stelman, Head of International Press : Stelman_m@mail.tel-aviv.gov.il
